About Raven's Journey

Raven’s Journey is a collaborative effort between Seraphim International and the SSV Raven Foundation. 

Together, we are transforming a rescued sailing vessel into a powerful tool for education, opportunity, and cultural connection.

Our team brings decades of experience in community service, maritime operations, education, and nonprofit leadership. We have worked in some of the most remote and underserved coastal communities in Alaska and beyond, and we understand the challenges young people face when opportunity feels out of reach.

The Sailing School Vessel Raven will be more than a ship. She will be a classroom, a training ground, and a bridge between tradition and the future, offering Native youth and other underserved students the chance to develop maritime skills, gain real-world job experience, and strengthen their cultural identity.

We are united by a single mission: to prepare the next generation to navigate life with confidence, competence, and communitcommitted to providing the highest quality services and support to our youth and their families.

Founded in 2005, Raven's Journey has been serving the youth of our community for over 15 years. We started as a small group of volunteers with a big dream, and over the years we have grown into a thriving organization that has helped thousands of young people achieve their goals.
